ignoreland asked: Again with that Metallica guy: Personally, never been too huge into playing Metallica, though Death Magnetic was a terribly fun album to listen to. But for me, the key to any song I'm playing along with is just getting the basics. Learn the simplest aspects of the beats, learn where time and key changes are. Once you have the patterns and big ideas down, get the general feel for the fills, and make them up from there. You won't always be "accurate," but as long as you play well, it won't matter.
theragethatbuildsinside asked: For the kid learning Metallica, I started off learning all of their songs. In order to get it, memorize that song. Know it like the back of your hand and the rest will come.
aspoonfullofmjolnir asked: Hello, I've been trying to learn The Day That Never Comes - Metallica and I just can't seem to get it. Just wondered if you, or anybody else, had any advice or experience with the song that they would care to pass on?
I’ve never tried to play it myself. but does anyone else have any advice?
